Had lots of issues with the Bellville DSLAM on selection night – the reason for me dropping out, reconnecting, only to be dropped again. Sorry Phoenix…

I’m suppose to have a 10Mb/s link. It currently syncs at below 1Mb at the moment and is unstable as hell (gets worse at night it seems as traffic increases). I’ve heard that Bellville exchange was upgraded last week We/Thu and think this is the cause of my Internet connectivity woes. Have a support call/line fault logged and waiting for a response.

And this on top of the 4 week old f”up between Telkom ISP and SAIX that has decreased latency to International servers 3x. They seemed to have “fixed” it by aggressive traffic shaping/router QoS – as ICMP now shows acceptable response, but game traffic (UDP) is still 3x slower. Fortunately local traffic is fine. I had a 16ms ping on the Zulu Alpha server on Monday night (lowest I think). But means jacksh*t if the damn port keeps on failing and resyncing on the DSLAM.

I am in Cape for work purposes and would like to continue selection with this class if possible.

Twakkie when are you back ? If its later in the week and suits everyone you guys might be able to still do it this week and still get to finish course on time – remember the sooner you guys get done the sooner you can join us on mission nights.

Are you all available on Thursday for Phase 2?  Twakkie – you back by then? If any of you are in contact with him and each other, can you sort it out if you can all be there and let us know.  Otherwise we can do phase 2  the following Monday and delay a week.

Hi guys, I would like to join on Monday evening (tonight) for selection 14 or if we still have a couple of the selection 13 guys that had connection issues that would like to redo their phase 1 tomorrow night. Only if you are available Phoenix 🙂

We won’t be having the selection tonight due to man down, but you can come test mods so long.  We have training tomorrow.

For those in current selection – Guys, get together and sort yourselves out for Thursday, I will need confirmations from you all that you can make it by Wed, otherwise we can do Phase 2 this coming Monday.
