Op Fool Fort – WARNORD

Description:

1. SITUATION

Situation Time: 04:00 hrs

Lighting: Clear

Weather: 3Km Visibility Half Moon

Coalition forces have reached the outskirts of the Taliban strong hold at Kar Shek and established an FOB. In order to not only re-take the region but to also destroy the leadership of the Taliban cell, NATO forces must eliminate their Chechen leader.

 

A. Enemy Forces: Taliban forces have established an in depth defense around OBJ Prawn (Fortress at Kel Shek) in preparation for a US assault. The outermost defensive positions are  expected at PL Mouse. Enemy forces consists of a motorized infantry company utilizing asymmetrical warfare tactics such as IEDs. Vehicles consist of technicals with possible BTR60s and M113s. Equipment includes RPGs and M2 .50Cal HMGs.

This cell’s leader is code-named ‘Calamari’ and has a distinct Caucasian appearance wearing appropriate attire for an insurgent officer.

He is expected to be located within the fortress at OBJ Prawn.

 

B. Friendly Forces: Your platoon is located at FOB Cat, just off MSR Dog

1) Equipment: Standard limited ammo and equipment.

2) Surveillance: Several micro UAVs

3) Ground Vehicles: 2x M-ATV, 2x M2A2ODS BUSK I, 2x UGVs

4) Fixed Wing: None

5) Rotary Wing: None

6) Naval: None

Other friendly forces: There are no other friendly forces in the AO.

 

C. Civilian Presence: Civilians are located throughout the region. This is a Taliban stronghold, so expect civilians to be sympathetic to the Taliban.

 

2. Mission

Your force is to get positive ID of Calamari and eliminate him. Your force is to also take Objective Prawn and the surrounding compounds with minimal civilian and friendly casualties.

 

3. Execution

Your force is to cross PL Mouse, ID and kill Calamari and take and hold Prawn. Your force will be the occupying presence there once the operation is over. Command recommends that you utilize your two Bradleys due to heavy enemy resistance.

ROE: You are free to engage all armed personnel that are clearly Taliban. Otherwise only fire if fired upon.
