Operation – Spy Monkeys – WARNORD

Description:

1. SITUATION

Situation Time: 17:50 hrs
Lighting: Full Moon, Last light at 18:48 hrs
Weather: Clear, 1.5Km Visibility, clear forecast

The person apprehended in Operation Aigle was a book keeper for the HVT Souris, who has shed some light on the insurgent operations in the region. Souris was to meet with the leaders of the different insurgent cells today in Zargabad, however we do not yet know the exact location of the meeting. High command has ordered a two phase operation. The first is to find the location of the ongoing meeting and the second is to conduct a direct action mission to apprehend them and extract back to FOB Colobus.

A. Enemy Forces:

Zargabad proper is expected to have light enemy presence, and the meeting is expected to be held in an area with a minimal enemy presence (except for personal protection) as it would be neutral ground. There are however a large number of irregular infantry in the Zargabad region, some Muslim insurgents dressed in traditional dress and some African mercenaries with motorized transport and armed with small arms including RPGs. These outlying forces are expected to react to a friendly action.

The insurgent leaders in the meeting are expected to number in the range of 4 to 10 personnel and unarmed. Their exact identities are unknown, so all unarmed personnel and in the target building is to be treated as an HVT.

B. Friendly Forces:

Your force (SAS, D-Troop – Zulu-Alpha) is located in FOB Colobus. A 4-man detachment of Zulu-Alpha, trained for undercover operations in the region is also located there, call-sign Capuchin.

1) Equipment: You are limited to standard small arms and 2x M2 Brownings, but have access to an unlimited range and number of attire for undercover purposes.

2) Surveillance: 1x micro UAV

3) Ground Vehicles: 4x M2 HMMWV up-armored and 1x civilian VAZ-2103

4) Fixed Wing: None

5) Rotary Wing: 3x MH-9, 1x MH-47E, 1x AH-9

C. Civilian Presence:

Civilians occupy the area in large numbers and operate the vehicles. They are neutral to your forces and are also expected to be neutral to the enemy force.

2. Mission

Your force is to conduct a two phase operation. The first is to find the location of the ongoing meeting and the second is to conduct a direct action mission to apprehend and extract all HVTs in the building that the meeting is held in and extract them back to FOB Colobus.

3. Execution

The CO may proceed as he\she sees fit.

Special Requirements:

For Capushin to be undercover (set as captive), these conditions must be met:

The subject has a non civilian uniform, nor a civilian uniform that has been compromised earlier, a vest, backpack, any
headgear with armor, any primary or secondary weapon on person (pistols can be carried but must be holstered or hidden),
holding any equipment in their hands (even binocs), must not be using NVGs or thermals, must not be in a non civilian
vehicle and must not be closer than 5 meters to an enemy who would be able to see you (you can be behind them or behind a wall for eg).

If any one of these conditions are violated and there is an enemy who is close enough (within 200m), who has you within their FOV
(from 60 deg at 0m to 10 deg at 200m) and has LOS of you and fully knows about you, then your uniform will be compromised and remembered by
all enemies and you    would have to change into a different civilian uniform in order to remain under cover. Note that you cannot compromise
a uniform for someone else, as the enemy only remembers the particular combination of person and uniform.
