September 27, 2014 at 07:08 #4579Hi Mark
if you on and everyone is in another channel then hop into the assistance required channel and poke someone, as long as it is not a sunday or tuesday night most everyone will drop out and chat to you. If you worried about disturbing, pick one of Sgt’s or Cpl’s it is kinda our thing to get new people on board.
September 23, 2014 at 08:19 #4560Hi Howz1t, welcome.
ZA is a Milsim group that prides participation, maturity and a willingness to learn over gaming skill.
For a good idea of what we are about you can check out our Facebook page and our youtube channel.
https://www.facebook.com/pages/Zulu-Alpha/537412392969186?fref=ts
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCuez27_6G17w5hWRcJXM2HgIt is also worthwhile reading through the rules, offices and DTT sections on this website.
Aside from that, if you join the TS channel in the evening there will normally be someone online who will be more than willing to chat to you and tell you in “person” what we are all about, and help you setup with PlayWithSix to get out modline etc.
You are more than welcome to join the servers any evening except Sundays and Tuesdays after 8pm as these are official nights and are reserved for ZA member that have passed selection. Before 8 on these night there are guaranteed to be people online so that might be a good time to jump onto TS.
Is you have any other questions just fire away.

September 17, 2014 at 00:45 #4525I use a joystick (Logitech Extreme 3D Pro) for flying which I think works really well, think there might be a couple of other guys that use it as well. I don’t fly that much though, only really when I am flying around a map mission making which does not really require all that much skill. This Joystick has a twist axis which i use for rudder so don’t use pedals for flying. What I do use my racing wheel pedals for is for leaning so it frees up fingers. I don’t have a gamepad so an really comment on that.
A lot of the guys use TrackIR, but I use something called an EDTracker (www.edtracker.org.uk) is very good and a fuckton cheaper than TrackIR (R680 for a built one including postage and duties from the uk) and with a little tweaking have it working perfectly.
September 16, 2014 at 12:52 #4516Hey Anzio Re the team speak buttons, i use a mouse thumb button and i am pretty sure that most of the others do the same. I also know that a couple of people use voice activation but that has to be pretty well fine tuned otherwise there is a lot of open mike noise.
