CAMPAIGN WARNORD – Campaign Guard

1. SITUATION
Situation Time: 28th July 1998, 05:30L
Lighting: Early morning.
Weather: Rain, expected to clear up and be overcast later in the day.There has been protests and civil unrest in the region, and the killing of Slobodan Paljak did not help with this.
Borth Bosnian Serb insurgents and Bozniak militias are looking for opportunities to exploit this situation in UN-protected towns by compromising their security from within.
One of the most precarious towns in the region is Ratzlingen, and Zulu-Alpha has been tasked to assist in its security.
Theater A. Enemy Forces:
MI has sighted Bozniak militia forces moving around to what may be staging areas around the town, except to the West. They are not laying siege to the town however, as they are not blocking traffic and are staying hidden. They could be passing through to other, less secure towns. MI has sighted a BTR-60 and a T-55 among their forces.
Bosnian Serb insurgents among the population are possible and have attacked police and UN forces in the past with concealed weapons.
B. Friendly Forces:
Zulu-Alpha is at Camp Stranglehold with UN Forces.

3) Ground Vehicles: 3x M2 HMMWV, 2x HMMWV (unarmed), 1x Medical HMMWV, 1x M2A2 Bradleys, 2 x M113 APC, 2 x TOW HMMWV, 1x M134 HMMWV (Minigun), 2x Transport trucks, 1x Repair, 1x Fuel, 1x Ammo
4) Fixed Wing: 1x A10 Warthog
5) Rotary Wing: 2x UH60 DAP, 2 MH-6 Little Birds
6) Naval: None
Other friendly forces: UN forces at Ratzlingen have made checkpoints with bunkers and HMGs at each of the 4 main roads leading into the town. Each checkpoint has a 3 man team. Police forces are poorly armed and low in numbers but are patrolling the inside perimeter of the town itself.
C. Civilian Presence:
Large civilian populations in the Ratzlingen, and may be hostile. Humanitarian aid may ease tensions and have been provided in an Orange crate at the air base.
2. Mission
- Secure Ratzlingen from internal and external attack.
- Avoid civilian casualties and collateral damage.
