1. SITUATION

Weather: Partly Cloudy, unlimited visibility

IS has barricaded the main river in the region, in order to enact tolls on the civilian population, as a method to raise a tax base to fund their operations. It is imperative to remove these barricades in order to act as a show of force in the area, demonstrate to the civilian population that IS is not entitled to any tolls or taxes, and to remove a funding source for IS.

There are three barricades that have been identified, and they are spread out along the river, which has mostly forested shores, but with the occasional open deserts.

Theatre

A. Enemy Forces:

IS has dumped mostly busses or other large vehicles at strategic points along the river. There is a risk of IEDs at those barricades to supplement them. They appear to establish security perimeters about 1km from each barricade, with patrols further out and bunkers much closer in.

Barricade

IS is known to have ZU-23s at the roadblocks, and several T-55s hidden as a reserve unit that they may deploy in response to any attack.

They have approximately one to three squads strength of infantry at each barricade.

B. Friendly Forces:
Zulu-Alpha is located at FOB Hunt, located near the town of Kyari Kinnai, further East down the river. The FOB has several boats and vehicles needed for the mission and a field hospital.

Reaper and Ghostrider are located at Marwey Airfield and have both been reserved for this operation.

Old LCVPs have been provided in order to help transport the DAGORs up the river, which will assist with towing the wrecked vehicles in order to clear the barricades.

3) Ground Vehicles: 2x Polaris DAGOR

4) Fixed Wing: 1x A-10D Thunderbolt II

5) Rotary Wing: 1x MH-60L DAP [4 Pylons], UH-60M MEV

6) Naval: 2x Speedboat Minigun, 2x LCVP (ViV)

Other friendly forces: None

C. Civilian Presence: Light civilian presence, mainly in the built-up areas surrounding the river.

1. Clear the river of barricades, up until the last one marked on the map.

1. The upside of the vehicle-based barricades is that our DAGORs have the torque needed to tow them out of there and clear the barricades.
