Operation Bad Neighbours

1. SITUATION

Situation Time: 05:30L 31 March

Lighting: Dawn

Weather: Partly cloudy, unlimited visibility.

During the early morning hours today, Insurgent forces attacked Stocken from insurgent controlled Oetzen, which is just North and on the other side of the river. Local Government forces have slowed the attack, but not without losing the Northern parts of the town of Stocken.

Zulu-Alpha is nearby training and supporting the government forces from Outpost Dina in Ratzlingen, and is in a position to be a QRF force to help the government forces repel the attack and take back the rest of the town.

Theatre

A. Enemy Forces:

The attacking unit is a reinforced infantry company-sized unit, consisting of irregular forces with small arms, and at least 1 BTR-60 motor rifle platoon. They have modest training and are well motivated, but not organized enough to muster a decisive attack, so expect them to stream in reinforcements from Oefzen to try and overwhelm the government forces.

Insurgents

During the night, the insurgents captured the North-Eastern suburb of Stocken, but have had limited time to fortify it, and are using it as a staging area for further advancement. They also captured the two roadblocks (NW and N) leading into the town, and are reinforcing their attack through these roadblocks.

B. Friendly Forces:

Zulu-Alpha is located at Outpost Dina in Ratzlingen, with a Stryker section, support vehicles and logistical vehicles.

Outpost Dina

The Government forces still hold the two main intersections in the Southern part of the town and have garrisoned the buildings around those intersections. Further government forces are in Jarlitz to the South East, but they are of understrength platoon strength, so reinforcements will be small. The government forces will attempt to hold their intersections, and if they have the strength will attempt to re-take their two roadblocks.

Other friendly forces: Government forces at intersections of Stocken and reinforcements coming in from Jarlitz.

C. Civilian Presence: Civilians have fled the town of Stocken.

1. Repel the Insurgent attack
2. Retake the rest of the town of Stocken
3. Minimize collateral damage.

3. General Instructions

The North East suburb of Stocken will require house to house clearance, as the rest of the town is still contested.

Take the roadblocks to prevent further reinforcements.
