Old Player New Game (Introduction)

Hi Guys and Gals

So I’ve been playing games for years and have enjoyed allot of realistic games like BF2:Project Reality as well as ARMA 2, I also Play Airsoft over weekends and enjoy anything Milsim

Now I will be buying my ARMA 3 in a few hours and a Old friend BulletToothDan said this would be the community to join

I guess my only questions are

Coms? Teamspeak, Mumble, Skype, ect.

Activity? 1 game a week or a big operation over weekends?

Thanks in advanced for answers and help on the questions, I’ll start browsing the forums to see what I need to know

Used to compete in Arcade shooters on the DGL scene in SA but got over the Rage mokeys that competitive play on the DGL has to offer … In hopes of finding something worth my time I’m moving over to ARMA 3 as I know Arma 2 and BF2:Project Reality both had a very enjoyable game play and the community was more mature

I’m 27 and I’m a Designer (mostly for promotional posters and Book covers) I work from home and I also spend most of my time with my PC connected to the Net (easier to live while connected). I started playing Airsoft back in 2008 but stopped due the the sport having a low interest, I have however seen a increase in Airsoft activity in Gauteng so I have picked up my M4 and dusted off my MPC (Modular Plate Carrier) and returned to the sport.

I ran Weeklygamer.co.za for a while but ended up selling the website to a investor and I have no Idea where the Site will go in the future.

Monday Night: ZA Selection Course (If there’s one running)

Tuesday Night: ZA Operator Training (For ZA recruits and operators only)

Wednesday Night: Open for public players

Thursday Night: Open for public players (Unless we are running a Jointop\PvP against International teams)

Friday Night: Open for public players

Saturday: Open for public players

Sunday: ZA Mission night (Open to qualified Operators and those recruits who have passed selection, unless otherwise specified by HQ)

Still creating some new scenario’s as I made like 20 for Arma 2 back in the day … will share them as soon as they’ve been properly tested and completed (As ARMA updates I will be updating the scenarios

Yeah dude. You can camp out on our TS. Check the site for official times. Public stuff could start anytime from 18:00 onwards depending on who’s on.

As to mission making. We rarely play Arma 2 missions officially anymore, as some have uninstalled the game and now only play Arma 3 Alpha. But if you got something that’s compatible with our mods and it’s been play tested on the server, then we might be able to convince a few who have A2 still installed to make a public mission of it on a off-night.

If you are keen on making Arma 3 missions however, Phoenix will give you our current mission template to play with.
