Heya

 

I’m looking for a team based military experience again. Always wanted to try arma but never got stuck into it due to the high barrier of entry. I used to play in a bf – bc and bf3 clan and enjoyed it immensely. Nowadays however, I am looking for a slower paced and more  tactical approach to military sim gaming and thought I would try out arma 2 again. So to get the most out of it I’ve come to ZA to look for a home 🙂

 

It appears that ZA has moved over to arma 3 (from what I’ve gathered by reading the forums), however would it be possible to get to know you guys and do some training/missions in arma 2 before I spend the R450 on arma 3?

I think its very possible. We have an Arma 2 server: http://zulu-alpha.co.za/offices-sop/servers/ and I’m sure something can be arranged. Arma 2 is still played, but mostly in the games against overseas groups that haven’t moved to Arma 3.

I’m busy dling all the mods etc. Could someone explain to me what all the mods do and why you guys use them? Also would someone be willing to show me the ropes/play a bit tomorrow etc? Nothing formal or time consuming 🙂

Sorry for the late reply. Check our TS server (srv1.zulu-alpha.co.za, pass: roundpatty) every night, or specifically on Sundays, Tuesdays or Thursdays for the best chance of talking to someone. Most people will be willing and able to help.
