Allied forces have been ordered to intervene in Northern Iraq, starting with the liberation of Loy Manara and it’s Aribase (Objective Urquhart) which will be used as a supply route for future operations. 4th Ranger Battalion, Z company, A platoon has been selected to conduct the air raid.

Theater
AO A. Enemy Forces: ISIS forces are located throughout the region, South of the Bastam (line makred on the map). They are expected to occupy all towns an military installations, at about squad to platoon strength for larger objectives. ISIS has access to several MBTs and IFVs with the primary concentration of Armour likely in the Southern part of the theater, close to OBJ Urquhart. They have a few MANPADs and mobile AAAs (primarily ZSU-23-4), which are expected to be spread evenly throughout the Theater. ISIS forces are expected to react to any attack on a key objective, such as OBJ Urquhart with about a platoon strength motorized or mechanized force.

2. Mission
Your force is to deploy via air to the rear of the enemy lines, assault OBJ Urquhart and hold it for resupply

As a result of the enemy AA threat, all flights are to fly no lower than 1500m over enemy territory, unless flying over an area cleared of AA threats or a route has been planned and scouted. Therefore a paradrop to a DZ scouted by a high flying UAV is recommended.
