Description:

1. SITUATION

Situation Time: 06:00 hrs
Lighting: Half Moon, First light at 06h26
Weather: Clear, Sand storm is foretasted to arrive in about an Hours time.

The Takistani National Defense Force is overstretched and has left Zargabad undefended. The Zargabad populace are historically loyal to the Takistani Government and as such are considered targets by the rebel insurgent forces of Takistan. Due to factors, the insurgent rebel forces are planning an attack on Zargabad that on expected to commence around dawn with aim to massacre the populace of Zargabad. The only NATO controlled territory in this part of Takistan is FOB liberty and will be a safe heaven for the populace if they can be moved there in time.

A. Enemy Forces:

Enemy forces consist of  battalion sized force of infantry, motorized infantry and several T-55 Tanks. They are armed with Warsaw pact era small arms. They are located on the outskirts of Zargabad as marked on the map and have such encircled the city preventing the escape of the populace. They are expected to begin moving their forces into Zargabad at Dawn.

B. Friendly Forces:

Your force (SAS, D-Troop – Zulu-Alpha) Is located at FOB Liberty

1) Equipment: Limited small arms.

2) Surveillance: micro UAVs

3) Ground Vehicles: 4x Up-Armoured M2 HMMWVs

4) Fixed Wing: None

5) Rotary Wing: 2x MH-9, 1x AH-9, 1x RAH-66, 2x UH-80

6) Naval: None

Other friendly forces: A small garrison manning M2 Browning MGs guarding FOB Liberty

C. Civilian Presence:

A large number of civilians have left the region due to the lack of presence of government forces. Those that did not or could not leave are trapped in Zargabad. They are friendly to NATO forces and hostile to the enemy.

2. Mission

Extract as many civilians from Zargabad to FOB Liberty as possible before they are killed by an insurgent attack.

3. Execution

The CO may proceed as he/she sees fit.

ROE: You are free to engage all armed personnel. Minimize collateral and civilian casualties.
