Description:
1. SITUATION
Situation Time: 15:45 hrs
Weather: Foggy, 1Km Visibility, no reliable forecast
Last Light: 17:45 hrsThe 1st MEU left Altis several weeks ago, along with the bulk of Coalition forces. The new Altis government has reacted aggressively to the insurgency and has committed human-rights violations in an attempt to suppress it, particularly in the Kavala region of Altis. As a result, a UN rapid reaction force has been deployed for peace-keeping purposes and has administrative control of the Kavala region of Altis. Your team has stayed behind as a COIN special operations detail, in support of peace-keeping operations, particularly in the protection of High value assets and personnel.

Map of the AO A. Enemy Forces:
Irregular forces known as the “FIA” are armed with 5.56 rifles, LMGs, RPGs and are of approximately company strength, launching occasional raids and ambushes from the mountainous areas outside of Kavala, particularly to the East. The FIA’s objectives are to destabilize the local government and to disrupt coalition influence. This means that the FIA will be hostile to both the AAF (Altis Armed Forces), Coalition and UN forces.

FIA B. Friendly Forces:
UN Forces of the UN Rapid Reaction Force are US forces using M16s, M240s and other NATO weaponry and equipment. The UN forces is of approximately company strength with mostly foot mobile infantry.
Your force (SAS, D-Troop – Zulu-Alpha) is located at FOB Swiegelaar, with weapons, equipment and 4 HMG hunters. The FOB is guarded by a small detachment of UN forces.
The Seafighter (FSF-1) Littoral combat ship is deployed West, off the coast of Western Altis in order to support coalition and UN forces and act as a safe heaven for friendly forces.

UN RRF C. Neutral Forces:
The military of the newly established government, the AAF (Altis Armed Forces) has a light infantry battalion stationed to the North East of Kavala and in general has a presence in all the major towns of Altis with the exception of Kavala (due to the UN mandate). The AAF does not desire a UN presence as it inhibits their capacity to fight the FIA and has shown a great desire to be independent of foreign influence and may not respect boundaries set by UN and coalition forces. Strict ROE is important in order to avoid a skirmish with the AAF. AAF Forces are expected to be in contact with the FIA in the areas surrounding Kavala.

AAF D. Civilian Presence:
Civilians occupy the major towns and cities of Atlis, but have not returned to the same population level as before the war. They are expected to remain netural.
2. Mission
2 High profile personnel are at risk from harm from the FIA and AAF and have requested Asylum. These VIPs are codenamed Objectives Norris and Cinderella. They are located outside of the Kavala exclusion zone and thus need special extraction by your force to a extraction site in Kavala, for later transport off of Altis.

Your team starts in FOB Swiegelaar,. The CO may proceed as he/she sees fit, however only fire upon targets when fired upon to avoid civilian and AAF casualties and avoid collateral damage when using high explosives and indirect fires. You are free to move at anywhere on the island in order to achieve your main objectives.
4. Service and Support
A. SUPPORT UNITS
1) UN Forces may provide direct fire support if they are in position to do so.
B. MEDICAL SUPPORT
Zulu-Alpha handles medical requirements internally
C. LOGISTICAL SUPPORT
Zulu-Alpha handles logistical requirements internally.

Special Requirements:
The FSF is difficult to board for AI, so they don’t need to survive once they reached the ship for practical purposes. Note that you can release the existing craft (which may be invisible at first) and dock your new craft in its place.
