As the Chernarusian civil war continues, Zulu-Alpha has taken on a supporting role to the UN peacekeepers in the region.
The Chernerussian Brotherhood of Freedom (CBF) have begun attacking an ethnic minority as retribution for that minorities perceived opposition to the CBF, including the fact that the informant in Operation Monarch was a member of that ethnic minority. As a result of this, the ethnic minority population has with the help and protection of UN peacekeepers begun evacuating to East Chernarus, where the UN have established a refugee camp at Orloveta.
The UN peacekeepers have requested heavy support from Zulu-Alpha amongst fears that the CBF may attempt to intercept the escaping civilians and the lack of adequate manpower the UN has to protect them.
TheatreArea of Operations
A. Enemy Forces:
The enemy forces consist mainly of irregular infantry with Soviet Bloc weaponry such as the AK47′s, AK74′s, RPK’s and RPG’s. They have access to more than one BMP-1, technicals and two ZSU-23s that should remain stationed at the two Western Airbases/fields that they control and away from the AO.
The enemy is mainly concentrated in the Western half of Chernarus but have recently begun pushing eastward however, no CBF forces have been sighted past 090 Easting (marked on map) as of yet.
The enemy is expected to attempt to intercept the civilian group at some point during their transit to the Refugee Camp.
B. Friendly Forces:
Your force (SAS, D-Troop – Zulu-Alpha) is located at Krasnostav AFB with limited equipment. Therefore it is recommended that all NCOs inspect available gear before the operation.
1) Equipment: You have access to M4A1s M203s, MK46, MK48, M240Gs and most related equipment. There are also explosives, most grenades and signalling equipment, PCML launchers, 2x M2 CSW, 1x MK19 CS and 1x TOW CSW.
Other friendly forces: A UN peacekeeping force of section strength consisting of infantry will be staying with the Civilian group at all times to organize the civilian evacuation and to provide close escort for them. A UN Mechanized troop is guarding the refugee camp and will not assist unless the refugee camp comes under direct attack.
C. Civilian Presence:
Most of the civilian population in the AO is of the ethnic minority in question and thus have either fled or are being evacuated in this operation.
2. Mission
Your force is to protect the civilian group while they are being evacuated to the refugee camp.
3. Execution
Your force is to take overall command of the evacuation of the civilian population and therefore decides when the civilian group moves. The civilian group will move on foot (due to the numbers to be evacuated and a shortage of time and vehicles) along a pre-planned path marked WP-1 through WP-4 (waypoints are marked on the map). They will start at WP-1 where they will await your clearance to proceed to WP-2. This procedure will repeat at each way-point until WP-4 is reached, where the Refugee camp is located and ZA’s mission will end.
ROE: You are free to engage all armed CBF forces showing hostile intent toward the civilian group or UN peacekeepers.
4. Service and Support
A. SUPPORT UNITS
1) 1x CH47F transport based out of Krasnostav AFB (exclusive use).
2) 1x UH60M medivac based out of Krasnostav AFB (exclusive use).
