These three phases of selection have been awesome!

I would like to thank as well all the DS’ who took the time to be a part of it. I find it amazing that the ZA community is so strong that the members will take the time too blood in new recruits, which is something that I have not seen anywhere else and am very glad that I am becoming a part of it.

Very much looking forward to getting to grips with the training and becoming part of a patrol.

Now that the soppy stuff is out the way, beers all round! Woop! Woop!

So just to confirm…we are staying on the stable branch for Phase 3 this evening.

I cant help but notice that Phase 3 has been scheduled for tonight on the ZA home page…

I think the idea is to do it on the 2nd we just need to decide if it is going to be on Stratis or Altis.

Def one of the best experiences that I have had in gaming in a very long time, challenging and entertaining and once or twice very frustrating 🙂

I also just wanted to kick off the discussion about what we would like to do re Phase 3 and Altis or Stratis.

If we decide to move to the Dev branch it is going to take some time to make the swop due to the size of the update (3.something gigs). So lets talk about it sooner rather than later 🙂

For my 5 cents worth I don’t mind either moving to the dev branch or staying on Stratis. My only hesitation about going on the Dev branch will be that unless the whole of ZA moves with us, playing afterwards (should we pass selection) is going to involve moving back onto the stable branch which I think will be another huge download (this has been my experience of switching between the two so far.) Alternatively I think it would be awesome of our first experience there to be during our selection.

As one of the fortunates with uncapped the size of it all doesn’t really bother me except for the couple of hours it is going to take going backwards and forwards, I but that is what going to work is for 🙂

Actually jumped onto the TS server last night and met LCpl Johan and he helped me set everything up (thanks dude), got onto the main server, sorted out ACRE and got some kit going on the firing range, so looking forward to Sunday and Monday and getting things started with selection 🙂
