If you’re interested in joining Zulu-Alpha and eventually becoming a member of a group which executes missions with well-oiled teams of operators, you’ll need to sign up here for selection first. Once you’ve made it through the three selection phases, you’ll then undergo the ZA training program, or DTT, after which you will be considered a fully qualified ZA Member. That’s when the fun begins. And once you’re ready to join one of the dedicated teams, then the action starts for real.
We will proceed with scheduling the first phase of selection once we have 4 or more people express interest here. The other phases will be scheduled afterward, most probably on the same day of the week in the following week, but discussion of all three phases for this class is discussed here.
Please Note: As a ZA Candidate and Member, you are expected to behave in a disciplined fashion, adhere to a set of specific rules, and maintain sufficient attendance at the General Events.
You will only need the Main-Lite Mod Repo for Selection.

Thank you. I have been very fortunate to be allowed to join the unit on training and mission evenings so long. I would encourage the other prospective recruits here to do the same so long so you don’t have to wait weeks without being able to join in the action.
Some of the things I am struggling with which I suppose would be covered during training:
1. How to work the radio, I don’t understand when they say switch to channel 1 or 2, how to do that and how to know which one I am on. Also, how do they setup keys. I like to use PTT for voice comms but during the mission last night when I used my default PTT button CAPS LOCK I would transmit on radio, even when I changed the PTT key in Arma controls away from CAPSLOCK, it made no difference so I had to switch my TS to voice activated for now – I was wondering how the unit usually has this set up.2. How to point/ point out items to our team – there is a way to highlight a position/target but I can’t find the correct key combination.
3. MAP coords takes me some time to find/relate back to map, i was wondering if there is a helpful key combination that lets you see the map coords where of your mouse pointer – and any other useful MAP commands, I noticed different ways to place markers sometimes they show up for others and certain other times those only show for yourself and your squad mates but the other squads can’t see.
I have had a look around at the guides but could not find answers to these.
