1. SITUATION
Situation Time: 01:00L 26 December 2024
Lighting: Half Moon
Weather: Partly cloudy, unlimited visibility.
Yulakia Russian-backed separatists are continuing a strategy of executing terrorist attacks in order to intimidate the population into ceding Northern territory in Yulakia. Their latest action is to take the Victorin Cave, a popular tourist destination and take five foreign nationals as hostages. They have barricaded themselves in it and are prepared for an extended siege.
Zulu-Alpha has been deployed to clear the caves and rescue the hostages and can choose where to deploy from and which time of day to execute the operation.
AO A. Enemy Forces:
The separatists are armed with small arms, and they have heavy weapons, ZU-23-2s DShKMs and tripwire mines.
Their numbers are unknown, but expect a squad of enemy infantry at each marked point on the map. Each position contributes to securing a perimeter around the caves.
The cave system has four known entrances: two river entrances, a north-walking entrance and a north-eastern-walking entrance. The river in the cave system is wide enough that a Speedboat can enter one entrance, traverse the entire cave system and exit out the other side.

B. Friendly Forces:
Zulu-Alpha is to choose to insert at either insertion points 1, 2 or 3. All equipment and vehicles listed below will be deployed with them.
