1. SITUATION
Situation Time: 01:00L 19 March 2025
Lighting: Night time, 3/4 moon.
Weather: Partly cloudy, unlimited visibility.
A Diplomat visiting Kalae Noowi, Lewis Reed, fell victim to an ISIS offensive that took over the city in the last few days, and is being held hostage in one of 2 locations in the City.
ISIS has their demands that we do not intend on meeting, and will execute him in only several hours unless we rescue him.
ISIS has also declared an exclusion zone, that if they detect any US forces within, will execute the hostage.Zulu-Alpha is in the nearby FOB and assigned the task of finding and rescuing the hostage.
A 2 man undercover CIA detatchment, callsign ‘Capuchin’, is attached to Zulu-Alpha to assist with this mission.
Lewis Reed AO A. Enemy Forces:
The ISIS forces are concentrated within their exclusion zone, with a few patrols outside of it. They may have a few technicals, but they mostly consist of infantry with small arms and some RPGs. There is a motorised QRF force in the Tribal regions to the northeast that should take 15 minutes to reach the city if the exclusion zone is violated.
The hostage is located in one of 2 locations: The Mansion, or the Apartment building (as marked on the map).
Mansion (South Side) The hostage might be in any part of the mansion. Lone guardsmen guard the entrances, but otherwise, the garrison is asleep, but will wake up if our forces are detected anywhere in the city. Capuchin can move around outside the walls of the compound, but no unauthorized personnel are allowed inside the compound, so if they are detected inside the compound, their cover will be blown, and the hostage will be killed.
Apartment Tower The hostage may also be in the top floor of this apartment building. There are lone guards watching key approach areas, whereas the garrison is asleep throughout the building. Capuchin can move through any part of the building, except for the top floor, which ISIS has excluded access to from unauthorised personnel.
If the exclusion zone is violated, expect the garrison from the site that does not have the hostage, to wake up and move to the site with the hostage, so they will act like a QRF.

C. Civilian Presence: Civilians are in the city and are not hostile to US or ISIS forces.
2. Mission
- Rescue the hostage and bring him back alive to the FOB.
3. General Instructions
The hostage, in case of being kidnapped, had a tiny tracking device hidden on their person. It has a short range and is operating at 901 MHz. It should have a range of about one block. Capuchin will be equipped with a tracking device, but they should use it carefully, as using it out in the open is conspicuous.

The subject has a non civilian uniform, nor a civilian uniform that has been compromised earlier, a vest, anyheadgear with armor, any primary or secondary weapon on person (pistols can be carried but must be holstered or hidden),holding any equipment in their hands (even binocs), must not be using NVGs or thermals, must not be in a non civilianvehicle and must not be closer than 5 meters to an enemy who would be able to see you (you can be behind them or behind a wall for eg).If any one of these conditions are violated and there is an enemy who is close enough (within 200m), who has you within their FOV(from 60 deg at 0m to 10 deg at 200m) and has LOS of you and fully knows about you, then your uniform will be compromised and remembered byall enemies and you would have to change into a different civilian uniform in order to remain under cover. Note that you cannot compromisea uniform for someone else, as the enemy only remembers the particular combination of person and uniform.
