1. SITUATION
Situation Time: 02:00L 10 March 2022
Lighting: Dark. No moon.
Weather: Partly cloudy and unlimited visibility.
Opfor forces have continued their invasion of the island of Altis and are attacking cities from the South-West. Local forces and militia have been fighting bravely and are holding a defensive line to the North-East of Kavala. The town of Kavala has been overrun by enemy forces, although the local population and armed forces have been putting up a heavy resistance. It appears that the mayor of Kavala has been captured and is being held in the local hospital building. The enemy is likely planning to parade the mayor in front of media in an effort to claim a territorial victory over the city, with propaganda news station personnel scheduled to arrive at sunrise.
Although NATO forces are not officially involved in the conflict (beyond providing lethal and humanitarian support), a special mission has been authorised to attempt to extract the mayor, in order to deny the territorial victory and embolden the local forces.
Zulu-Alpha was stationed close-by as part of the NATO force escalation in the region, and has been tasked with the mission. Two blacked-out assault squads, along with their command and medical support, have been smuggled into a safe-house on the Western side of Kavala. The fishing vessel that inserted the squads was not able to loiter and needed to withdraw after inserting ZA.
ZA is tasked with freeing the mayor from the hospital building and exfiltrating him to the sports stadium behind the green defensive line. The mayor should have intelligence on local NATO arms and equipment stashes that could be used to aid the exfil to the stadium.
AO A. Enemy Forces:
The invading enemy army is equipped with modern weapons and equipment, ranging from normal infantry to motorised, mechanised and armoured units. They also have aircraft and anti-air capabilities, although the local forces have been dealing them a heavy blow, using NATO-supplied stinger and Javelin missiles. It is believed that enemy forces will be stationed and patrolling throughout the city, with the hospital building being heavily defended.
B. Friendly Forces:
Zulu-Alpha is in a safe-house on the Western shore of the city, consisting of D’0, D’1, D’2 and D’5, equipped with silenced gear and blacked-out uniforms.

C. Civilian Presence: Civilians are hiding in bomb-shelters and are not believed to be out on the street at night.
2. Mission
- Locate and rescue the Mayor of Kavala (Objective Alpha).
- Get intelligence from the Mayor on local NATO arms stashes.
- Locate arms stash and resupply/equip.
- Exfiltrate the Mayor to the sports stadium (Marked as Exfil on the map).
3. General Instructions
- Use stealth and silenced weapons to conduct operation as quietly as possible.
- Any equipment found at NATO stashes may be used as deemed appropriate by CO.
4. Specific Instructions
- Do not leave any friendly dog-tags, arms, equipment or vehicles for the enemy to find
