1. SITUATION
Situation Time: 03:55L 3 September 2023
Lighting: Pre-dawn, first light at 04:55L
Weather: Clear skies and unlimited visibility.
A petroleum engineer, Henry Harrison, was kidnapped by ISIS in Al-Basrah several months ago. Recently, intelligence has been received regarding his whereabouts and where ISIS keeps its prisoners.
Henry Harrison Zulu Company, Alpha platoon, has been tasked with raiding ISIS’s secret prison site in the old Hussein Air Base and rescuing Henry Harrison.
A. Enemy Forces:
ISIS is expected to have prepared positions with heavy weapons and mines in Hussein Air Base.
The Airbase is not fully garrisoned like it was when it was fully functional under the Hussein regime, but the garrison seems focused around the western half of the base; however, the perimeter is fully manned.
AO Heavy weapons at the Airbase include ZU-23s and DSHKMs
Hussein Airport (Aerial) Hussein Airport (Aerial, thermal) ISIS occupies the North West of the Al-Basrah region, and ISIS troops north of the Airbase are expected to react quickly to our raid. Known ISIS strong points are marked, so expect plenty of foot mobiles to act as a QRF. ISIS is also expected to use heavily modified technicals and possible armour.
Theatre B. Friendly Forces:
ZA is located at a FARP along with attached air assets in the South East of the AO.
1) Equipment: Standard equipment with resupply crates at the FARP.
2) Surveillance: 1x Micro UAV
3) Ground Vehicles: 2x ED-1D Pelter, Ammo, fuel, repair vehicles.
4) Fixed Wing: N/A
5) Rotary Wing: 1x UH-60M, 1x AH-6M, 1x MH-6M MELB
6) Naval: N/A
Other friendly forces: None.
C. Civilian Presence: Expect civilians in the populated areas north of the Airbase, including the ISIS strongholds, but not in the airbase itself.

- Avoid civilian casualties and collateral damage, except for the Hussein Air Base.
