1. SITUATION

Situation Time: 05:33L, June 1st, 2018

Lighting: Early Morning

Weather: Low fog with 3KM Visibility

Three combatants in the Syrian Civil War, the YPG, the Syrian Army and Islamic State,  have initiated an offensive to take Western Sa’hatra, and are all hostile to each other.

Three American citizens are about to be caught in the middle and need to be extracted ASAP. A Doctor, Joseph P. Martinez, Journalist Sean M. Allen and Negotiator Clint J. Pina.

A. Enemy Forces:

The Syrian Army is attacking from the South East, and is mainly comprised of mechanised forces of approximately company strength, with mortar and possible Air Support in the form of SU-25s.

Islamic State is attacking from the South West with motorised forces of approximately company strength and armoured technicals

Both of these forces are hostile to each other.

B. Friendly Forces:

YPG forces are attacking from the Mountains to the North, and are comprised of an understrength company with unarmoured technicals.

Zulu-Alpha is located in the FOB to the North in an Airfield.

C. Civilian Presence: There are civilians in the city, with no clear loyalties to any side

2. Mission

1. Extract the American citizens.
2. Minimise civilian casualties
3. Avoid Blue on Blue with the YPG
4. Secondary: Assist the YPG by destroying Syrian Army or Islamic State targets of opportunity.

3. General Instructions

Command recommends taking advantage of the confusion and fighting between the forces to slip in and slip out, and help the YPG where you can. If the YPG does well, they could even cover your extraction of the American Citizens.
