1. SITUATION
Situation Time: 24 September 2007 at 15:18.
Lighting: Clear sky, unlimited visibility.
Weather: 32°C, scattered clouds.
Situation:
Takistan is currently in severe unrest with more insurgence joining the fight daily. The insurgency has been hard at work to align themselves with the Taliban to generate more funding opportunities, gain popularity under the civilians and access to more assets. Overlooking the area around the US Airforce Base, the entire southern sector is controlled by the insurgence. However, the Taliban stronghold lies far to the north of the Airbase. The insurgence is using the high Takistan mountain range to the south as a geographical divide. Over the area, there are only three mountain passes which provide entry into the southern part of the area. The Takistan Police has placed permanent military checkpoints on these roads to control the amount of vehicular movement.
On Saturday at 21h30, two American Intelligence Officers have been kidnapped. The two officers Sgt. Miller and Sgt. Leahy, was conducting daily trips into the south of Takistan with high-risk interviews. It is believed that the driver/ translator named Abdul-Wahhab Khusraw, which they have been using was covertly working along with Takistani insurgence. The officers had no clearance to be out in hostile territory after 22h00; therefore, they pass through the checkpoints into American controlled territory. On Saturday they returned earlier and according to our schedule was supposed to come through the most eastern checkpoint at Timurkalay.
All contact has been lost with the officers, and we do not know if they crossed the checkpoint or not, Zulu Company, Alpha Platoon along with Special Operations Aviation Regiment Ghostrider has been assigned to the operation homecoming. ZA your tasks are to locate the officers by gaining intel through searching and raiding the town of Timurkalay and the checkpoint, SOAR will provide overwatch and all ZAs’ transport needs. The Takistan Police is neutral to both the Americans and Insurgence and is highly untrustworthy. You must gain any information on the officers’ location and conditions, they need to be retrieved before any effort is made to move them north into Taliban hands and strengthen the ties between the Insurgence and Taliban.

Sakhe and Kakaru Checkpoints. Terrain:
The terrain is extreme and harsh with little to no cover over the Takistan mountains. The town of Timurkalay has high mountains overlooking the valley; the town is located inside a death zone. The mountains to the south are the beginning of the Insurgence stronghold and are marked as a No-Fly Zone (south of the mountain range). The US holds air superiority north of the mountain range and can be considered a safe fly zone.
A. Enemy Forces:
Insurgence holds the south of Takistan, patrols along the mountain ranges can be expected as some firefights often occur on the boundary.
B. Friendly Forces:
Zulu Company, Alpha Platoon along with Special Operations Aviation Regiment Ghostrider with is stationed at the US Airforce Base in northern Takistan.

2. Mission:
- Move to the Timurkalay checkpoint.
- a) Find intel in the town of Timurkalay.
b) Find intel in the checkpoint. - Find the Intelligence Officers.
- Exfil back to base.

Find intel on the location of the Officers and bring them home.
