1. SITUATION

Situation Time: 06:00L 6 March 2023

Lighting: Pre-dawn

Weather: Scattered showers with low-level fog at sea level with a visibility of 1km. Expected to clear up during the hour and become partly cloudy.

Theatre

The Syndikat has taken control of the Hanskinlahti island group, taking this vital economic artery hostage. The Syndikat is backed by a foreign adversary to destabilise the region, and is well equipped and entrenched, taking advantage of WW2 fortifications.

AO

Zulu-Company Alpha Platoon is in the region and is tasked with clearing out the group of islands.

A. Enemy Forces:

The Syndikat have at least a squad, camp and fortifications ranging from WW2-era concrete bunker to a sandbag bunker on each island. They also have at least 2 patrol boats with HMGs. They are primarily equipped with small arms but have managed to install a number of M2 HMGs in prepared positions on the islands. They also have access to several Strela MANPADs.

There does seem to be a primary concentration of Syndikat forces on the island of Lehtinen, which has the most extensive WW2-era fortifications in the area.

B. Friendly Forces:

Zulu-Alpha, Dragon platoon is located at a forward staging area (marked on the map) along with its boats and resupply. Reaper and Ghostrider are located at AFB Virojoki.

1) Equipment: Standard equipment with resupply crates at the staging area.

2) Surveillance: 1x Darter UAV

3) Ground Vehicles: Ream, repair, refuel and medical at AFB Virojoki

4) Fixed Wing: 1x A10D

5) Rotary Wing: 1x MH-60L DAP [4 Pylons]

6) Naval: 4x Speedboat minigun

C. Civilian Presence: No civilians are expected in the AO.

2. Mission

1. Neutralize the enemy’s presence in the demarcated AO.
2. Find and destroy enemy weapons caches in the AO.
