1. SITUATION

Situation Time: August 8, 05h15L
Lighting: Sunrise
Weather: Unlimited visibility.

Coalition troops are pulling out of Lythium, and IS forces have become emboldened by this.

Military Intelligence has reason to believe that they are preparing a coordinated offensive against several Allied and Coalition in order to exploit our reduced manpower and end Coalition operations on a high note for their Agenda.

Zulu-Alpha has been tasked with being a Quick Reaction Force for allied and Coalition troops in fortified FOBs, in order to supplement our defences.

A. Enemy Forces:

IS forces are strongest in the Southern regions of Lythium. They generally hide their forces when not in contact, using civilian buildings and foliage.

They are capable of massing troops at approximate platoon strength and do have access to some motorized and mechanized vehicles, such as for example BMPs and BRDMs, however in very limited quantities and used sparingly.

They are predominantly an infantry force focusing on quick strikes with no warning.

B. Friendly Forces:

The friendly forces of concern, are Iraqi national troops (callsign Mace and marked on the map) at an elevated FOB in a rural area with rolling hills, a PMC unit holding a government building in Afsher (callsign Hammer and marked on the map), and a German squad holding a key hill overwatching a highway near Orfar (callsign Anvil and marked on the map).

Coalition and Allied troops will call Dragon if they are in contact with the enemy and the approximate size of the enemy force on Long-range Channel 1.

Zulu-Alpha is located at AFB Kalae Noowi along with its assets.

C. Civilian Presence: There is a Moderate civilian presence in cities.

2. Mission

1. Be a Quick Reaction Force for the Allied elements of Mace, Hammer and Anvil.
2. Prevent the FOBs of Mace, Hammer and Anvil from being taken by the enemy.
3. Prevent civilian casualties and collateral damage.

3. General Instructions

Maintain maximum readiness in order to ensure a response time of no more than several minutes.
