Operation Cobra Javelin

1. SITUATION

Situation Time: July 20, 2020, 21h30L
Lighting: 3/4 moon
Weather: Clear, unlimited visibility.

IS in Kujari has complete control over the North-Western region, and have been using this region as a staging area for attacks on other regions.

Azim Kushan, the IS commander in the region, as been spotted recently in a safe house in Kawiya Lawan Bachir, one of the towns under their control. There is a time-critical opportunity to capture him and any intel in the safe house.

A. Enemy Forces:

The IS forces in the region have significant infantry garrisons in each town (numbered 10 to 20), with the occasional technical, some heavily modified with extra armour and heavier weaponry. The town of Damaram is the exception, with significantly more men, disproportionally more so than it’s size, numbering about 50 to 80.

The target village has the expected number of infantry, but no technicals.

There are 4 occupied villages about 1km from the target village, which may provide QRFs in reaction to a raid.

MI believes that there is a short window of opportunity to capture Azim Kushan, as he is visiting the many towns in the area, possibly in preparation for something.

B. Friendly Forces:

Zulu Company, Alpha platoon has been tasked with the mission, and is situated at the FARP at Marwey airfield, East of the AO, and has been setup as a staging area for direct action raids in the region.

There is an MQ-9 available and a DAP, but no re-armament is available at this time.

1) Equipment: Standard equipment, no micro UAV

2) Surveillance: 1x MQ-9 Reaper with 4x hellfires

3) Ground Vehicles: 1x Repair MTVR, 1x Refuel MTVR

4) Fixed Wing: None

5) Rotary Wing: 1x MH-60L with 2x19x rockets, 1x AH-6M, 1x MH-47E, UH-60M MEV

6) Naval: None

Other friendly forces: None

C. Civilian Presence: A significant civilian presence in each town. They are expected to be neutral.

2. Mission

1. Capture, or if unable to, kill Azim Kushan.
2. Secure an intelligence at the safe house.

3. General Instructions

Expect any intelligence to be in Arabic, so use the appropriate translators.
