Operation Boomerang

1. SITUATION

Abu Sayyaf has determined the true identity of the CIA Agent Alfie Campbell who is operating at the Tanoa station and snatched him several hours ago, likely to interrogate him for information. His current holding location has been determined with a 90% certainty to be in the vicinity of Lakatoro, but he is expected to be moved in the morning.

Fortunately, Zulu-Company, Alpha platoon, who are currently based out of the U.S Hanger at Tanoa Airport and on a consultation and support mission for the Tanoan Government are in a position to execute a rescue and extraction from Tanoa mission within this short window of opportunity. Unfortunately, no support is expected from the Tanoan government, due to the short notice and the secrecy still desired for this incident by DoD.

A. Enemy Forces:

The snatch team, consisting of 3 technicals and several foot mobiles have been spotted heading into the village of Lakatoro that is known to be held by Abu Sayyaf. The village has a Abu Sayyaf garrison of about 2 squads, in addition to long-range patrols.

After sunrise, a sizable escort force of unknown size is expected to arrive from the North of Tanoa.

Alfie Campbell is deemed a very high-value target for Abu Sayyaf, so for good measure, he will be extracted and removed from Tanoa in order to remove any opportunities for his re-capture.

B. Friendly Forces:
Zulu-Alpha is located at the U.S Hanger at the Airport of Tanoa, along with some SUVs. A medical centre is also located near the Hanger.

A C-130 from an Airbase in Indonesia is en-route and expected to land at the Tanoan Airport at 06H30L for extraction of Alfie Campbell.

2) Surveillance: 1x Micro UAV.

3) Ground Vehicles: 2x SUV, 1x Armoured SUV

4) Fixed Wing: 1x C-130

5) Rotary Wing: None

6) Naval: None

C. Civilian Presence: Light civilian presence, mainly in the built-up areas surrounding the airport, and some light early morning traffic at the Airport.

2. Mission

1. Rescue Alfie Campbell from Abu Sayyaf, and put him on the C-130 inbound to The Airport of Tanoa.
2. Minimize civilian casualties and friendly losses.

3. General Instructions

1. Use the cover of night to rescue Alfie Campbell and before he gets picked up by an inbound Abu Sayyaf combat group.
2. Once the C-130 lands, they are instructed to and have the fuel to take off immediately when Alfie Campbell boards, in Abu Sayyaf tries to capture him again.
