1. SITUATION
Situation Time: 5 January 2019, 07:09L
Lighting: Half Moon, Sunrise 07h40
Weather: Partly cloudy, unlimited visibility.
The National Party of Chernarus (NPC) is a US-backed counter to the Russian-backed separatist movement, the Chernarussian Movement of the Red Star (ChDKZ). The NPC was intended to stem the growth and spread of the ChDKZ; however, it has failed to do so.
The flagship unit of the NPC, the 1st Inf Battalion, has become severely depleted after months of continuous combat. Now, the ChDKZ has found and encircled its command post in Guglovo. If it is overrun, then the 1st Inf Battalion will be effectively destroyed.
Zulu Company, Alpha Platoon, has been deployed for several months to train and support the NPC. It is the closest U.S. unit to Guglovo and has been tasked with preventing the NPC unit from being overrun.
AO A. Enemy Forces:
The ChDKZ are well-motivated insurgents equipped with Soviet block small arms, including RPGs and a small number of NVGs. MI has some evidence that they have some armour in the AO in the form of 2 T-55s.
ChDKZ 
T-55s The ChDKZ has encircled Guglovo and has harassed them through the night with Mortar fire and sniper fire. They have blocked all the roads leading into Guglovo with checkpoints with DShKMs and patrol the perimeter between the checkpoints.
Checkpoint MI has identified troop massings around Guglovo, primarily to the North West, however dense vegetation in the other sectors means that they could easily conceal troop concentrations there. At the rate that they are forming, they are expected to be able to launch a successful attack at sunrise.
MI estimates that they will be approximately company strength.
B. Friendly Forces:
Zulu-Alpha is situated at an abandoned factory 3 Km NE of Guglovo, known as Outpost Rock. Due to the urgency of this operation, Zulu-Alpha won’t have support or surveillance but is well-equipped to take on a quick reaction role.
The NPC, including their Battalion Colonel, currently numbers only 14. They have made barricades on both roads leading into town, dug several bunkers at key points throughout the town, placed many sandbags in them, and deployed several DShKMs.

C. Civilian Presence: a Moderate civilian presence expected at all towns, including Guglovo.

- Prevent the ChDKZ from overrunning Guglovo and destroying the NPC 1st Inf BN HQ there.
