Mission WARNORD:

Description:

1. SITUATION

Situation Time: 22:00hrs

Lighting: 3/4 Moon

Weather: Clear, unliumited visibility

Now JSOC and Iraqi forces have taken a foothold in Mosul and we have hampered the ability for ISIS command to coordinate an effective counterattack, they have begun changing their strategy. Most of their forces have begun to go into hiding and conduct insurgent operations, whereas another portion of their force will attempt a break out to the South West, across the Euphraties. This latter peice of intelligence was obtained from an ISIS member in the city who contacted us as he seeks to leave ISIS due to war weariness.

A. Enemy Forces:

The informant has indicated that a coordinated break out of approximately an entire cell will be conducted at 22h40, crossing the new bridge over the Euphraties and escaping at various avenues towards the South West

Enemy assets include Motorized & Mechanized forces. Previous encounters include BTR-40′s, Land Rover (SPG-9, M2),  Praga ZU-23, T-34

Infantry consist of ISIS militia armed with warsaw pact small arms(AK74, RPG, LMG, UGL), CSW’s (SPG-9,AGS-30, Dshkm, ZU-23, Mortars) and some AT-30 anti-tank emplacements.

B. Friendly Forces: Zulu-Alpha is located at FOB Independance with M119 artillery battery (however check their range)

1) Equipment: Full standard loadout except with ScarHs

2) Surveillance: None

3) Ground Vehicles: 2x Transport MTVRs, 2x M2 Stryker, 1x Stryker MEV, 1x Rhino MGS, various HMMWVs

4) Fixed Wing: AV-8B

5) Rotary Wing: 2x Blackhaw DAP with 4x 19x Hydra each

6) Naval: None

Other friendly forces: Iraqi and Peshmerga forces have established a perimiter around the city and begun pushing in from the East and North and provide garrison forces for out installations.

C. Civilian Presence: Most civilians have fled the fighting but there may be some.

2. Mission

1. Prevent ISIS forces from successfullly breaking out of our cordon and escaping the city to the South West.

3. Execution

1. Command recommends getting to the far side of the main Bridge and prepare an ambush before 22h40.
2. Once it is clear that ISIS have stopped attempting escape or exhausted their assets for the break out, then you may RTB.
