1. SITUATION

Situation Time: 01:00hrs

Lighting: Half Moon

Weather: Partly cloudy, 3km visibility

The Taliban Have been subdued in Rasman Valley, however they still have a hidden base of operations to the West. They are ramping up IED placements and raids and those are coming from the North Western part of the Theater of operations.

The first step in destroying this Taliban cell would be to locate their main weapons cache. Fortunately we have several informants that have provided reliable information in the past have have hinted that they know where the cache is.

A. Enemy Forces: Taliban forces prefer to hide out in towns and valleys and use attrition to attack US forces. Massed attackes are unlikely, but IEDs and ambushes are.

B. Friendly Forces:  Zulu-Alpha based in AFB Rasman

1) Equipment: Unlimited Equipment.

2) Surveillance: Micro UAV

3) Ground Vehicles: 3x Up armoured HMMWVs .50 cal, 1x HMMWV CROWS Mk19, 2x Medical HEMTT

4) Fixed Wing: None

5) Rotary Wing: None

6) Naval: None

C. Civilian Presence:  The local people are sympathetic to the Taliban and may assist in insurgency operations
