Operation Irish Run

Scheduled for Sunday the 19th of June

Description:

1. SITUATION

Situation Time: 19:00 hrs

Lighting: Last light: 20:30 hrs

Weather: Unlimited visibility.

The political situation has deteriorated in FATA, due to more Pakistani units becoming hostile to US forces and more friendly to ISIS forces. Due to these circumstances and the increased attacks against foreign nationals in FATA by ISIS, Coalition forces have called for a general withdrawl from FATA and Zulu-Alpha has been tasked with assisting with this objective.

 

A. Enemy Forces: The bulk of ISIS forces are located around the base of Khassadar, though there is an increase of lightly armed insurgents in towns and cities that lay IEDs and ambushes.

Pakistani soldiers on the South side of the dry river bed should still be friendly, however we expect that all Pakistani forces on the North side of the dry river bed to be hostile.

ISIS forces near the objectives should be lightly armed but mobile and well hidden

 

B. Friendly Forces: Friendly forces are stationed at FOB Dublin and will have access to standard loadouts, incl spray paint for building clearance. Due to the nature of the mission and the call for assistance from other coalition members, UK forces have airlifted a single Coyote in order to replace the loss of an MRAP in the last mission.

1) Equipment: Standard NATO equipment at start.

2) Surveillance: Micro UAV

3) Ground Vehicles: 3 x RG35 (M2), 1 x Coyote, 2 x HMVVW (Trans), 2 x HMVVW (Med), 4 x HEMMT (Ammo, Repair, Fuel, Ressuply

4) Fixed Wing: None

5) Rotary Wing: 1 x MELB (Trans), 1 x MH60 (MEV), 1xUH 60 (Trans) 1 X CH47.

6) Naval: None.

Other friendly forces: US Army personnel manning M2 Brownings at FOB Al Qalat.

C. Civilian Presence: Locals consist of villagers and farmers. All are armed and due to their neutral nature they can be stopped for questioning but under no circumstances are they to be engaged.

 

2. Mission

1. Extract the foreign nationals from Objective Derry (5 people)
2. Extract the journalists from Objective Belfast (3 people)
3. Extract the Canadian diplomats to Pakistan from Objective Galway (2 people)

3. Execution

1. Avoid Khassadar and the surrounding areas.
2. Beware of IED’s and Ambushes
3. Assume all Pakistani forces north of the dry river bed to be hostile
4. Avoid contact with Pakistani forces if at all possible
