Operation Road Trip

Description:

1. SITUATION

Situation Time: 06:00 hrs

Lighting: First light at 06:30 hrs

Weather: Unlimited Visibility, Partly Cloudy

We have had an intelligence coup; The Takistani army ordered a fleet of new GAZ-233011 MRAPs for their officers, however we managed to get an intelligence operative in the supply chain for the vehicles and the operative has managed to plant GPS transponders in all the vehicles.

We are going to seize on this advantage this morning, as several officers in a Takistani infantry brigade are making their rounds for inspections and meetings in the Zargabad region.

A. Enemy Forces: Enemy forces in the region consist of a Takistani regular infantry brigade garrisoned in several bases in the Zargabad region (marked with red circles). Major threats consist of several BMP or BDRs that will be situated in those areas and possibly on patrol. There is minimal if any MANPADs in their possession. There may also be several patrols moving between the areas of enemy concentration.

There are 3 Officers that we would like to apprehend, who should be unarmed and dressed like the officers in the picture below.

They will be making their rounds between the major enemy concentrations marked on the map throughout the morning and may thus be vulnerable during their transits. Note that we are tracking 5 MRAPs in total, however we don’t know which ones the 3 officers are in, so you may have to ambush all 5.

 

B. Friendly Forces: You’r entire platoon is located at FOB-Excalibur and your primary means of transportation will be provided by Ghostrider elements using MELB little-birds, including CAS.

1) Equipment: Limited equipment is available at the AFB.

2) Surveillance: Several micro UAVs

3) Ground Vehicles: Ammo, Fuel and Repair HMMET located at FOB-Excalibur

4) Fixed Wing: None

5) Rotary Wing: 1x AH-6L, 1x AH-6H, 4x MH-6M

6) Naval: None

C. Civilian Presence: Civilians occupy all towns and should remain neutral.

 

2. Mission

Your primary objective is to ambush the and apprehend all 3 officers and return them to FOB-Excalibur.

 

3. Execution

1. Avoid the enemy main concentrations located in the areas marked by the red circles.
2. Observe the routes of and ambush the MRAPs until you apprehend all 3 officers
   1. Extract the officers back to the FOB
   2. All members of your team will receive live positions of all 5 MRAPs on their maps, updated every 10 seconds
