Operation Iron Will

Description:

1. SITUATION

Situation Time: 16:30 hrs

Lighting: Just before Dusk. Last light at 16:51

Weather: Unlimited Visibility, Partly Cloudy

An entire mechanized battalion of the Altisian armed forces have defected to the insurgency and immediately launched an offensive to take control of North West Altis.

Dragon elements who where based at FARP Copper have been cut off due to the offensive and have been unable to regroup at AFB Gravia with the rest of the Coalition forces.

Airlift capability is unavailable due to Dragon’s organic lift capacity being destroyed due to mortar attacks of FARP Copper and all other airlift assets either being pre-occupied or out of service. Due to this, Dragon will need to make it back to AFB Gravia on foot but under the cover of friendly CAS.

A. Enemy Forces: Enemy forces consist of a battalion strength mechanized force occupying the area between Athira and AFB Copper. They consist of BTRs, BMDs, Motorized infantry and infantry patrols with access to MANPADs.

All towns NW of Athira are to be considered occupied by enemy forces and the enemy is using their mechanized vehicles in order to patrol the the region.

FARP copper is also expected to be attacked by the enemy and eventually be overrun.

 

B. Friendly Forces: You’r entire platoon is located at FARP Copper, with Ghostrider elements starting at AFB Gravia

1) Equipment: Limited equipment is available at the AFB.

2) Surveillance: Several micro UAVs

3) Ground Vehicles: Ammo, Fuel and Repair HMMET located at AFB Gravia

4) Fixed Wing: None

5) Rotary Wing: 2x AH-64

6) Naval: None

Other friendly forces: None

 

C. Civilian Presence: Civilians occupy all towns and should remain neutral.

 

2. Mission

Your primary objective is to safely extract your team to AFB Gravia.

 

3. Execution

1. It is recommended that your force kits out and moves out of the FARP ASAP.
2. It is advised to destroy the crates at the FARP when you leave so as to deny assets to the enemy.
