Operation Shiva

Description:

1. SITUATION

Situation Time: 06:45 hrs

Lighting: Just before Dawn. First light at 06:55

Weather: Unlimited Visibility, Clear

Chernarusian separatist forces have taken control of a vital costal route along the Southern coast of Chernarus and the regional capital during the past week. Coalition command needs that route cleared and the area under control but has few ground assets available and is thus sending in Zulu-Alpha supported by several Air assets for AIr support

A. Enemy Forces: Separatist forces consist of a reinforced Mechanized company with several BMD-1s and ZSU-23-4Vs. There is no intelligence of any SAMs or MANPADs. There are several transport and attack helicopters located at OBJ Sambhu, however the separatist don’t have the spare parts, fuel, ammunition or personnel to maintain and operate them.

The separatist forces are located in the valley and coastal areas surrounding Chernogorsk and the airfield to the East (OBJ Sambhu) and have prepared defences, including roadblocks and weapon emplacements.

There is a large concentration of infantry patrols in the area along with a few patrols of IFVs.

 

B. Friendly Forces: You’r entire platoon is located at AFB Isvara.

1) Equipment: Limited equipment is available at the AFB.

2) Surveillance: Several micro UAVs

3) Ground Vehicles: Ammo, Fuel and Repair HMMETs

4) Fixed Wing: None

5) Rotary Wing: 2x UH-60, 2x AH-6, 1x A-10A

6) Naval: None

C. Civilian Presence: Civilians occupy all towns and should remain neutral.

 

2. Mission

Your primary objective is to clear Objectives Vishnu and Sambhu and the hills surrounding Chernogorsk.

Your secondary objective is to take Chernogorsk

 

3. Execution

1. Since the enemy is restricted to the area of Chernogorsk, Landing troops anywhere several KM outside of the town or any of the objectives should be safe
2. Beware of operating helicopters around Chernogorsk due to the AAA threat. It is recommended that you deal with those threats with fast movers such as the A-10.
3. Since Chernogorsk is a large objective and the number of troops and time to accomplish the objective is limited, it won’t be necessary to take it for now, however we would like the town to be isolated and ready to be re-taken later. Thus taking the surrounding hills and objectives will be adequate for now.
