Operation Hailstorm

Scheduled for Sunday the 13th of September

Description:

1. SITUATION

Situation Time: 19:30 hrs

Lighting: Last light: 20:00 hrs, 3/4 Moon

Weather: 2Km Visibility, Foggy

Helvantis separatists have been stopped just short of the capital with their offensive capabilities temporarily reduced in operation Umbrella. The US task force that held the line must now conduct a counter-offensive in order to ensure a safe buffer around the capital and to further diminish the separatist offensive capabilities.

A. Enemy Forces: The Separatist mechanized company has been all but destroyed and only has an infantry company remaining which still has access to light armor. It is unknown if further Russian support will be provided.

The Separatist forces and forward headquarters are situated at and around objectives Fennec and Dog in prepared defensive positions. OBJ Dog is also the primary staging area for the separatist forces, so expect large troop concentrations there.

 

B. Friendly Forces: Your entire platoon is located at FOB Raccoon, along with Badger section.

1) Equipment: Limited equipment is available at the FOB.

2) Surveillance: Several micro UAVs

3) Ground Vehicles: 1x HMMWV, 2x M2A3 BUSK I, 1x Ammo, Fuel and Repair HMMETs each, 2x UGV.

4) Fixed Wing: None

5) Rotary Wing: None

6) Naval: None

Other friendly forces: A Bradley section from Eagle Company, call-sign Badger will be attached to Dragon platoon for the duration of the operation. Eagle Company will slowly advance south and occupy territories that your forces clear.

 

C. Civilian Presence: There is a small civilian presence still located in most towns that should remain neutral.

 

2. Mission

Your primary objective is to capture and hold OBJ Dog with minimal friendly and civilian casualties. Your secondary objective is to clear OBJ Fennec and avoid further damage to the objective.

 

3. Execution

Your are to proceed as you see fit. Be advised no areas South of FOB Raccoon have been cleared of enemy forces.
