Operation Strangle

Description:

1. SITUATION

Situation Time: 13:00 hrs

Lighting: Clear skies

Weather: 3Km Visibility

We are making our final push to take the last of ISIS held territory and  take OBJ Urquhart, their primary base of operations on Takistan. Eagle Company and Zulu company Alpha platoon will make a final push to take the remaining key Objectives in the South.

 

A. Enemy Forces: All of Takistan South of the mountain range is expected to be occupied by ISIS. They are expected to have an infantry company strength force. ISIS has access to several MBTs and IFVs with the primary concentration of Armour likely in their rear with their primary military objectives and oil infrastructure. They have a few MANPADs and mobile AAAs (primarily ZSU-23-4). ISIS forces are expected to react to any attack on a key objective with infantry or mechanized forces.

There is also a moderate IED threat in the form of buried roadside IEDs and VBIEDs. There has also been several instances of suicide bombers in the last few weeks and are expected to intensify

 

B. Friendly Forces: Your unit is located at OBJ Underwood, with your aerial assets at Rasman AFB.

1) Equipment: Standard limited ammo and equipment.

2) Surveillance: Several micro UAVs and 2x YABHON-R3

3) Ground Vehicles: 2x UGVs, 2x M-ATV, 1x M1A2SEPv1 (Tusk 1), 1x M113A3,  1x M1083A1P2-B

4) Fixed Wing: 2x YABHON-R3 with 2x LGBs each, 1x A10

5) Rotary Wing: 1x CH-47F, 1x UH-60M

6) Naval: None

Other friendly forces: Eagle Company is tasked with taking several objectives in concert with your assault, focused on the South West.

 

C. Civilian Presence: Civilians are located throughout the region in all towns. Some may be hostile to US forces and ISIS forces as well.

 

2. Mission

Your force is to take an hold OBJ Urquhart, with the objectives Carmichael, Woolton, Krajewski, Collinridge and Walker as secondary objectives.

 

3. Execution

Your force should bypass objectives in order to reach OBJ Urquhart and assist Eagle Company in taking the other objectives if surplus manpower is available. Eagle Company is going to start their assault by taking OBJ Carmichael and head on East from there.

ROE: You are free to engage all armed personnel that are clearly ISIS. Otherwise only fire if fired upon.
