Scheduled for Sunday the 17th of Nov

    Description:

    1. SITUATION
    Situation Time: 10:00 hrs
Weather: No forecast available, but due to the affected area being coastal, it sometimes turns from sunny to heavy rains within minutes.

Rebel forces have been pushed back from the mainland, but are maintaining a stronghold over the entire South Eastern Peninsula.
It was discovered that the inland forces all receive their munitions via an Ammo Supply Depot situated at Mazi (Far SE). Supplies are brought in via sea to the Mazi base.

    [Overall Theatre]

The 2nd Reconnaissance Battalion -of the USMC’s 2 Marine Division -have been conducting Amphibious Recon off the coast in order to gather INTEL for a planned strike to be conducted by Zulu-Alpha.
They are code-named N.E.M.O. (Naval Element Marine Operations), and have set up a small FOB at CAP Thelos -about 10km North of the Supply Depot.
The N.E.M.O teams operate in SVD pairs, each SVD having a Pilot and a WSO (Weapons Systems Officer).

The N.E.M.O. teams discovered an underwater “mine-fence”, and started mapping the exact locations of the mines, as can be seen on the Operational Map.

    [General Operational Area]

    [Closer Operational Area]

However, a team have gone silent, and are currently MIA.
Satellite surveillance is very limited due to the dynamic weather patterns, but have picked up signs of an EMP blast in the area around the time they have gone missing.
It is suspected that the EMP blast have damaged the SVDs’ main PCB boards, leaving the team stranded.

The team would be doing recon within the larger (lighter) red rectangle on the Operational Map, but according to calculations they would more probably be within the darker red area.
It is still possible however, that they are anywhere within the entire large rectangle area. Them being within the darker area, is just more probable.

Zulu-Alpha needs to find them, recover the SVDs’ and crews, and bring them all back.
If the SVD’s can be fixed, then that needs to be done. If they are beyond repair, they need to be demolished with Explosive charges.

    A. Enemy Forces:
SVD, and UAV Intel have established the following:
6 x Bunker Towers on the Western perimeter of the Base, 2 of which are flanking the road leading into the base.
7 x Bunkers North of the Pier, along the Coastline + 4 x Bunkers South of the Pier, along the Coastline.
(Each of bunker/bunker tower have at least 1 x Infantryman in it.)
3 x HMG Assault Boats (fully manned, and fully armed) are patrolling the coast.
An Assault diver team consisting of 4 members are standing by on the coast north of the pier, and they move in to investigate every time the patrol boats pick up any anomalies on sonar.

All Hostile Occupied Areas are to be considered heavily manned with long range AA capabilities.

    B. Friendly Forces:
Zulu-Alpha are being deployed from Fort Jaws, just South of the Main Airfield.

    Fort Jaws:
    2 x Hunters Standard
    2 x Hunters HMG
    1 x AH-9 Pawnee
    1 x UH-80 Ghost Hawk
    4 x Speedboats
    4 x SVD’s

    FOB NEMO:
    1 x Bobcat
    Security Team
    1 x Diver Recon Team (4 members)
    5 x SVD’s
    1 x Repair Truck
    3 x Fuel Trucks
    5 x Toilets

    [Fort Jaws]

There are also 2 Unmanned Vantage Points (1 South + 1 North) of the AO, which could serve as Observation Posts.

    C. Civilian Presence:
No civilians are likely to be present within the operational area.

    2. Mission
Find the MIA diving teams and SVD’s.
Fix the SVD’s if they are repairable. If not, then destroy them with Explosive charges.
Extract surviving N.E.M.O members together with repaired SVD’s.

Avoid -if possible -hostile assault divers, whom will be investigating any sonar signals picked up by the Assault boats. If contact is unavoidable, engage with extreme prejudice. They must not survive!

    3. Execution
The CO must proceed as he/she sees fit.

    4. Service and Support
    A. SUPPORT UNITS
    1) Artillery: None
    2) Aviation: None

    B. MEDICAL SUPPORT

    Medical System:
    ZAM Revive

    Mods:

    TASK #1 DETAIL
    ——————————-

Description: Rescue the 4 NEMO team members and extract them back to the LZ

    Completion Status: 100%

    Comments:
Under the cover of the FSG, the dive team was able to move to the search area, with Bravo-1 finding the NEMO team. Both patrols of the dive team engaged enemy dive teams en-route, several patrols in strength. The SDVs had to be destroyed, then the dive team and the NEMO team moved east to be picked up by the FSG with assault boats and extracted.

    ———————————
    TASK #1 DETAIL
    ———————————

Description: The FSG must prevent the Dive team from being interfered with and to fix the enemy supply depot.

    Completion Status: 100%

    Comments:

Once the enemy forces area began moving the dive team on the coast into the water, they where determined to be active and have possible detected the dive team. It was then that the FSG opened fire. There where only 3 enemy assault boats sighted during the operation, all 3 of which where destroyed by Titan missile launchers within the first minute of the engagement. All enemy infantry in the bunkers and the rest moving around in the ammo depot where suppressed or killed very quickly. The enemy 4 man dive team only received 1 casualty, possibly 2, as as soon as they where determined to be  clearly moving into the water, they where already partially obscured by terrain as they where entering the water. The FSG then checked it’s flanks for enemy reinforcements or counter attack, which there weren’t any. 15 trucks supply trucks in the supply Depot where inadvertently destroyed by the FSG’s fire.

Once the dive team destroyed the SDVs, the FSG moved to the LZ and recovered the assault boats, then moved to the pick up point designated by the dive team, picked them up and the NEMO crew and returned to FOB Jaws.

    ADDITIONAL DETAIL
    ———————————
    Comments:

Once ZA returned to FOB jaws and disembarked the assault boats, the NEMO team where transported to their original FOB via UH-80 with AH-9 escort.

The assault boats during the landing where not beached, and provided no problems during extraction. It was observed that if the boats are moved to the beach by the current, they will not become beached.
