Scheduled for the 4th of May
    1. SITUATION

    Time: 15:00 hrs

    Weather: Clear, + 3Km Visibility

    Moon State: NA

As the ferocity of the civil war in the former Soviet Bloc country of Chernerus has increased Zulu-Alpha, in their role as UN Peacekeepers, have been deployed to the South-Eastern part of the country in an attempt to act as a buffer between the various warring factions.

    [CBF Area of Influence]

    A: Enemy Forces:

The Chernerussian Brotherhood of Freedom (CBF) forces consist mainly of irregular infantry with Soviet Bloc weaponry such as the AK47’s, AK74’s, RPK’s and RPG’s. The CBF is fully integrated into the local population.

The CBF have taken control of several towns and two airbases (045 050 & 049 128) in the region. When the airbases fell, at least two ZSU-23-4 Shilka’s and several BMP-1 APC’s were commandeered by the CBF. Surveilance has shown that the Shilka’s are stationed at the captured air bases creating “no fly zones” for friendly air assets. The location of the BMP’s is also unknown but due to the strategic importance of the airbases it is expected that they are stationed there as well.

    [No-Fly Zones]

    [Shilka]

    B: Friendly Forces:

Zulu-Alpha: D-Troop is located in the North-East of this part of Chernerusa at the Krasnostav AFB (101 026) and has full access to the full range of NATO armaments. Including ground and air assets

    [Krasnostav AFB]

    C: Mission

Zulu-Alpha has received credible intelligence that when the CBF took the Balota AFB there was a C130 transport on the ground that was transporting a Warhead Assembly Rig (WAR) out of the area. This rig has the ability to assemble thermo-nuclear devices and it is an imperative that it is destroyed

    [Warhead Assembly Rig – WAR]

Currently the CBF does not have access to fissionable material but it will only be a matter of time before they are able to make a functional nuclear weapon if the WAR is left in their position.

The same intelligence source has indicated that the WAR has been moved away from Bolota AFB but its current location is currently unknown. However another source inside the CBF has indicated that he knows where the WAR is but went silent before he could tell us the location.

    [Source]

The source is in the heavily fortified town of Lopatino to the West of the captured North-West AFB. As time is of the essence a team will have to insert into the town disguised as locals, retrieve the information then radio Anvil with the WAR’s location. Anvil will then have to quickly plan an assault on the WAR’s location and destroy it.

As Lopatino falls under the AA umbrella of the Shilka stationed at the NW AFB the covert team will have to insert into the town either on foot or in a vehicle. To the south of Lopatino is the town of Myshkino where a vehicle is more than likely able to be commandeered for ZA’s use.

ZA operators in the covert team will have to remove all identifiable items and use only the equipment provided. If the ZA operators are seen holding weapons once they have inserted into CBF territory they will instantly be identified as enemies and attacked by CBF forces, therefore all weapons must be stowed out of sight in backpacks and only used if they are compromised. When the covet team is kitted up and all weapons stowed out of sight they must inform Anvil via LR Radio and coded radio signal Alpha.

Once the covert team has identified the location of the WAR they must inform Anvil-Actual of its location via LR Radio and coded radio signal Bravo.

Enemy strength wherever the WAR is located is unknown but it is likley that there will be numerous ground troops as well as the possibility of technical support. Once the assault on the WAR’s location has begun it should be a given that reinforcements will be deployed to its location. It is expected that the location of the WAR will be in a secluded area which will mean reinforcements are estimated to take a minimum of 20 minutes to arrive.

There is a sense of urgency with regards to reaching the WAR’s location as quickly as possible as it is not known how long the intel will stay relevant, and if the covert team’s cover is blown

    Execution

This mission has two parts to it:

1 – Covertly find the HUMINT source and the location of the WAR
    2 – Destroy the WAR

The CO May proceed as they see fit.
