Site migration complete:
The move from the old site at arma.co.za to zulu-alpha.co.za is virtually complete. All assets have been migrated to the new site. There are still going to be new features added to this site, including a revamped theme. All servers controlled by this ZA will be renamed from Arma.co.za, to Zulu-Alpha.co.za.
Forums moved:
The forums on this new site are now active at http://zulu-alpha.co.za/forums/. All official posts will be done at at this forum, with the old one at arma.co.za being used exclusively for archive purposes.
SOP/Rules completed and in effect:
All the offices pages and SOPs have been completed. The new rules are now in effect, and thus the old rules at arma.co.za are null and void. If you have any disagreement with the rules, then please contact me or Raven.
Arma 3:
Due to virtually all members (with one known exception) having migrated to Arma 3, and many of those members loosing their Arma 2 installation in the process, we will be using Arma 3 for all General Events (Mandatory events), including selection.
We will have a new custom Repo for six updater and/or Play With Six in the coming days, which will include a new standard mod-line for Arma 3. It wont be a large download, however it will be required for all future General Events.
General Events:
These are events that are mandatory for members to be at. There is a Sunday General Mission every week, and General Training every second week. See this page for details.
Selection class 7:
Sign up for the next round of selection has begun for next week Monday (8th of April). If you are a prospective new member, please sign up, and familiarize yourself with the members section of the rules, to know what to expect, and what the process to become a full member looks like.
New Training Cycle:
The new training system, or the ZA DTT (Doctrine and tactics training) are in effect. The schedule is different, where there is now only one General Training session every two weeks, or more specifically once per block. The first General Training session will occur on next week Tuesday (9th of April), and by then, the documentation for the 2 drill currently implemented on the ZA drill grounds (which will be used for evaluation) should be completed. By the time the next batch of selection candidates have passed selection, all important ZA drills will be implemented on the ZA Drill grounds, and documentation provided.
Training will be scenario based (Drills). You are expected to learn the drills (documentation will be provided in due course) yourself, though you can ask for help or an extra training session. Only Members of candidate rank and Teams (patrols) will be evaluated. The rest are still expected to attend.
New Campaign:
There is a new campaign, Op Teeth Cutter which will start this Thursday (4th of April) for Arma 2. This is not a mandatory event.
