Operation Rightouse Fear

1. SITUATION

Time: 06:00 hrs

Weather: Rain, Overcast + 3Km Visibility

With the 3rd Mechanised Division moving away from the bridgehead across the Harcourt Straight and after the attack by US forces on the PRPM logistics and arms supply the PRPM have launched a mortar attack on the town of Harcourt to harras both the locals and US forces in the area.

The mortar attack started at 0530 hours this morning and has continued unabated for the last half hour. Luckily all the local Saboa and the troops stationed in the area have been able to fall back beyond the maximum range of the mortars. Triangulation has located the mortar positions on top of the rocky outcrop at 108086. ZA is tasked with assaulting the PRPM mortar position and destroying the mortars.

A: Enemy Forces:

The bulk of the PRPM are currently made up of untrained recruits and more expereinced “veterans”. They are expected to have small arms such as black market M249’s, AK-74’s and the like. Batched of 40mm grenades and AP Mines were identified during Op Rightous Thunder. The while the recruits are not overly well trained they know the jungles very well and the “veterans” are an experienced and very capable jungle fighting force and will use every means available to hinder the US’s assault on the mortar emplacements.

Intel suggests with the destruction of the weapons cache at Tanouka the limited supply of MANPADS and heavy weapons have been moved north to block the Tanoan Airforce from launching attacks from Tuvanaka Airbase on the North Western Island. This will allow for flights no further north than northing 100

B. Friendly Forces:

Friendly forces are stationed at FOB Crusade.

1) Equipment: Standard NATO equipment at start.

2) Surveillance: None

3) Ground Vehicles: 3x Armed Prowler, 4x unarmed Prowler, 3x HEMMT (Ammo, Repair, Fuel)

4) Fixed Wing: None

5) Rotary Wing: 1 x V-44 Vehicle Transport, 1x V-22 Infantry transport, 1x UH-80, 2x MH6-M

6) Naval: 3x Assault Boats

C: Mission

The mission is to locate and assault the mortar position elminitating all PRPM forces and destroying the mortars.

Execution
The CO may proceed as they see fit avoiding traveling north of the no fly zone line.
