1. SITUATION
Situation Time: 20h12L 27 October 2019
Lighting: Night, full moon
Weather: Clear
Zulu-Alpha’s CO, Medic and Dragon 1 & 2 were on a flight to Campbeltown Airport in Mull of Kintyre together with a CIA envoy to assess the situation with IS overrunning the southern part of MOK. ZA was assured by local government that IS did not have any anti air capability and the flight plan called for approaching the airport passing south of the mainland and turning on final over the bay of Campbeltown city. While passing south of the mainland the aircraft was struck by a missile damaging the left wing severely. The pilot made a turn inland and was able to perform an emergency landing in a valley. The landing was hard and the gear almost immediately collapsed. With fuel streaming out of the left wing and the fuselage scraping along gravel and rocks the plane quickly caught fire. By the time the plane came to a standstill half of it and some of the crew were already engulfed in flames. The remaining crew were able to escape the flames taking only one supply crate with them. All the other equipment burned with the wreck.
A. Enemy Forces:
IS is spread widely over MOK, controlling everything south of the frontline. They consist of a multitude of infantry units and some soft skinned vehicles stolen from the British forces. Some intel from British forces suggest that they have various lookout and listening points, foot and vehicle patrols in the hills and valleys, and they occupy 90% of all structures in the south.
