1. SITUATION
Situation Time: 04H35, 8 September 2024
Lighting: First Light
Weather: Overcast with rain, Light fog.
Mull of Kintyre local government have been employing the US based private military team ION on an ongoing basis for many years. When local government realized they could no longer afford the services of ION, they cancelled the contract 11 months before the expiry date. ION, formerly know as Black Element, slapped the government with an unrealistic early cancellation fee running in the ten’s of millions and gave them a week to pay up. With the deadline expiring by sundown today, and no payment arrangements being made, ION has gone rouge and threatened military action against the government and civilians by sundown.
Although ION is a private company, the US DOD in conjunction with the US government has come to the decision that they cannot allow US citizens to perform any military action against another NATO state. Zulu-Alpha who is also stationed in Mull of Kintyre have been ordered to render ION combat ineffective by any means.

ION, led by their commander Callem Thompson have retreated from their usual station just north of Ballegreggan Glen north of Cambeltown and have been seen at a farm off the main road 4 km SW of Cambeltown. Their forces are estimated at between 80 and 90 soldiers. Local police have been able to obtain drone images during the night showing the majority of the force concentrated around the farm buildings and the field immediately SW of the buildings. They were able to spot light armored vehicles patrolling the perimeter but it is unclear just how wide the patrols are. One BTR 80 was also spotted. Although ION does not have any AA vehicles or emplacements they do have stingers and it is expected that they will have the area covered against aerial attack or infiltration.

C. Civilian Presence: It is suspected that the farmer is being held prisoner on the farm

- Rescue the Farmer if possible
- Local government is accepting some collateral damage
