1. SITUATION

Situation Time: 16:30

Lighting: Clear, late afternoon, sunset at 19:15.

Weather: partly cloudy.

The local anti insurgency operations are going as planned and the EOD unit still has to clear the last IEDs on the highway for the MSR to reopen again. The EOD unit reported a lot of activity in the area to the south south west of their position and ISR can confirm that it looks like the insurgents have a cell in that area.

The EOD unit has only cleared roads from IEDs marked in green, orange is unsafe at this moment and highly advised to stay off those roads.

A. Enemy Forces:

The insurgents are currently holding around the red area, they might have placed traps and landmines in the area so watch your step.The are has some small caves and very rocky . Insurgents have nothing special we are aware off, only AK’s, RPGs, PKM’s ect.

B. Friendly Forces:

EOD unit Currently holding on the highway waiting for Zulu Alpha Ranger Platoon to push in and secure the area so they can move in again, they wont be supporting the assault.

Zulu Alpha is stationed at PuestoMate FOB with their Std Equipment and 3 Cat 1 MRAP for transport. They will mount up and push in to the area and secure it.
