1. SITUATION
Situation Time: 05:00
Lighting: Pre-Dawn, sunrise at 05:35
Weather: Good visibility, Clear
a SFOD-D Team was shot down +- 1 hour ago in a MH-47E en route to insertion on a recon mission looking for local insurgent cells. HQ has made contact with them and their situation is stable for now with only light contacts. They are currently holding at the crash site till Zulu Company Alpha Platoon can assist them. The crash site is just to the north of the unconfirmed cells.
A. Enemy Forces:
IS affiliated insurgents (motorized infantry). Armed with AK’s, PKM machineguns, rpg’s (possible Manpads) and technicals (Dshkm/SPG-9). No intel on size or disposition. SFOD-D teams report infantry probes on their position at the crash site)
B. Friendly Forces:
8 Man SFOD-D and 5 helicopter crew defending at the crash site Grid (043 047) with 0 casualties reported so far but low on ammo holding the position. Attacks coming from the south of their position.
UN mechanized and Motorized units with BMP 2s dug in to the south of the cells acting as a Blocking Force to capture or kill any insurgents falling back.
Zulu-Alpha is garrisoned at GreenCampBase Grid(109 075) With their Equipment and 4 Helicopters, 2 MH60 and 2 AH6 Melb helicopters.

C. Civilian Presence: Significant civilian presence. They are Untrustworthy
2. Mission
- Assist SFOD-D recon team.
- Assault Insurgent positions and force them to retreat into the U.N blocking force.
- Destroy insurgent weapons, munitions and vehicles.
3. Execution
- Conduct operation per CO’s orders.
- (Tertiary Objective) Investigate yellow marker
