Mission WARNORD:

Description:

1. SITUATION

Situation Time: 02:00hrs

Lighting: 3/4 Moon

Weather: Clear, Unlimited visibility

Following our last major operation several hours ago, the majority of IS forces have been destroyed and Zulu Alpha has been left with a few assets at FOB independence. One of our Regimental Reconnaissance teams call-sign Dragon 4 has twice failed to make their hourly status report. Their assigned AO was between Muhandisin and Al-Fallujah. Command suspects their long-range radio is malfunctioning and they are unable to move from the area due to IS consolidating a defence position in close proximity. Zulu-Alpha has been tasked with re-establishing contact with the team on their short-range 343 team radios and executing an extraction of Dragon 4.

A. Enemy Forces:

Two remaining IS cells are located in or around Muhandisin and appear to be making a last stand.

Enemy assets include Motorized & Mechanized forces. Previous encounters include BTR-40′s, Land Rover (SPG-9, M2),  Praga ZU-23, T-34

Infantry consist of ISIS militia armed with warsaw pact small arms(AK74, RPG, LMG, UGL), CSW’s (SPG-9,AGS-30, Dshkm, ZU-23, Mortars) and some AT-30 anti-tank emplacements.

B. Friendly Forces: Zulu-Alpha is located at FOB Independance with M119 artillery battery (however check their range)

1) Equipment: Full standard loadout with Scar-H’s

2) Surveillance: None

3) Ground Vehicles: 2x Transport MTVRs, 2x SOV HMMV.

4) Fixed Wing: AV-8B

5) Rotary Wing: 1x AW159 (Armed with M621 cannon and rockets), 1x Mk. V Super Hind (Rockets and ATGM)

6) Naval: None

Other friendly forces: None. Iraqi and Peshmerga forces are pursuing a large IS force North of the city.

C. Civilian Presence: Most civilians have fled the fighting but there may be some.

1. Search area and establish contact with Dragon 4 on short-range radio if possible.
2. Punch through remaining IS insurgents around Dragon 4.
3. Extract Dragon 4 back to FOB Independence.
