    Operation “Saving Bakkies”

    Description:

    1. SITUATION

    Situation Time: 18:45hrs

    Lighting:  Half Moon

Weather: Light fog initially, predicted dense fog later on

The current Tanoan and US peacekeeping operation in effect code name “Lazy Bones” sought nothing more than basic drills and boring training mock missions. In which Zulu-Alpha sole purpose was to act as supporting element. The US intelligence department saw the asset deployment to Tanoa was a wasteful expenditure and has since recalled all assets.

After relocating residences and having settled back into civil society, Sgt Bakkies was ordered to return to Active Duty with Zulu Alpha.

Zulu Company, Alpha Platoon have by now returned to the main base at Saint George’s airfield after another boring and fruitless exercise with the Tanoan Militia and are eagerly awaiting much-needed supplies from the expected C130 cargo plane. Sgt. Bakkies is on board this plane.

However, during his return flight, the logistics C130 cargo plane flying back to base crossed the main island and was surprisingly shot down by a volley of AA fire. The shock and awe stunned the US as there was zero intelligence of any activity by an enemy, INTEL cannot determine the size nor the faction or strength we are up against.

For a limited amount of time Sgt. Bakkies was able to communicate with HQ and provide valuable Intel before all communication was lost presumably before the plane exploded.

    Intel:

Vehicles lights north of the crash site, Foot patrol converging from West, Hilltop close by. Some infantry in the jungle.

Sgt. Bakkies, instructed HQ that he was moving to the Hilltop to gain better overlook.

At this point, all communication was lost.

From what HQ can gather is that Sgt. Bakkies survived the crash, injured and the severity of his injuries are unknown.

Zulu-Alpha leaves no man behind and as such has ordered the operatives from ZA to action an immediate Search and Rescue mission. We don’t have much time and speed is crucial to his survival… Knowing Sgt. Bakkies has always a plan to “Stay Alive” be vigilant to any signs of his trickery.
