1. SITUATION

Situation Time: 11h30

Lighting: Daylight.

Weather: Clear weather, high visibility.

Malden, an Aegean island near Altis, has recently experienced some militia activity following the recent uprising on Altis. This militia, while small has become a thorn in the side of NATO who fears another island uprising similar to that on Altis. The militia in an unexpectedly brazen move raided the unprepared NATO supply base to the SE of Malden and stole weapons, ammunition, and equipment including personal radios, BLUFORCE Trackers (CTAB) and a UAV controller tablet. This brazen act has prompted NATO to act by deploying Zulu Company, Alpha platoon, stationed on the USS Freedom which is holding a few kilometers offshore. NATO is determined to keep this operation as low-key as possible to prevent a civilian panic on Malden, adding to the militia’s propaganda.

Zulu-Alpha is to locate and destroy the captured supplies, and, if possible capture or kill any leaders of this militia. As personal radios, CTAB and UAV systems may currently be compromised, the use of these items during the mission is prohibited.

MILINT has used reported militia sightings and activities to narrow their base of operations to a few square kilometers in the SW of Malden. ZA is ordered to patrol the area defined by MILINT to locate the militia. Civilians may be helpful in narrowing the search grid. ZA has been inserted by RHIB to an IP at Du Nan Bay, SW of the AO.

A. Enemy Forces: An unknown, but likely small number of lightly armed militia infantry sporting Soviet and NATO weapons. Some civilian vehicles fitted with MG’s have been spotted.

B. Friendly Forces: None.

C. Civilian Presence: Significant civilian presence. Expected to be mixed in stance. DO NOT ENGAGE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE!

2. Mission

• Primary: Locate and destroy the captured NATO supplies.
• Secondary: Capture or eliminate any militia leaders.

3. Execution

• Insert at Du Nan Bay.
• Patrol the area, gather intelligence and locate where the militia has stored the cache.
• Destroy NATO weapons caches
• Capture or eliminate any militia leaders
• Return to IP for debriefing.
