1. SITUATION
Situation Time: 19:00hrs
Lighting: Sunset. 45 min left of Daylight
Weather: Clear Skies, Unlimited visibility
Diyala, Iraq a north-eastern town from Baghdad…
US Marines deployed to the district have taken severe casualties, causing a dire situation to get worse as ISIS managed to successfully destroy two convoy’s which led them to a territorial gain that enabled them to close in on the last US base called “The Airfield”. Marred by their savage IED’s, VBIED’s and suicide bombings the Islamic State militants showed little remorse for life or conventional warfare… the locals have a saying “If something looks out of place…It probably is”.
Zulu-Alpha’s operation within Zarghabad at the end of last year led to an intense investigation with the hope of finding the source of funding discovered in “Operation Iron Justice“. From this, military intelligence has learned recently of an ISIS group operating in Diyala, Iraq.
Zulu Company – Alpha Platoon has been deployed to conduct high intesity operations within AO, and will be based in the main airfield known as “FOB Kingdom” which is the last remaining stronghold located in the heart of Diyala and the only remaining resupply route.
Aerial Map – Diyala The remaining American troops currently stationed at the FOB are long overdue to be relieved from front line combat and due to casualties, ZA is to relieve them with immeidate effect. Their commanding officer’s last mission was to investigate and neutralize a local IED factory…

As it stands Zulu-Alpha has to complete the failed mission to neutralizing the IED factory. The remaining US troops have forwarded their intelligence about activities at the nearby mosque, but could not say for certain if there were enemies located there. They were engaged by small arms fire coming from the east of the Aqueduct upon their retreat. The Islamic militants have regained ground so caution should be observed when approaching the aqueduct.
Theater – “Iraqi freedom” The Islamic state militants have a tendency to operate more frequently at night under the cover of darkness, so ZA would have some freedom of movements whilst it’s day time… but time is of the essence as nightfall is upon us with about 45min of daylight left.
A. Enemy Forces: ISIS militants with light skin technicals at key areas, IED’s, VBIED’s vastly scattered around the towns and higher concentration located in intersections.
B. Friendly Forces: Remainder of US Marines and Zulu-Alpha at FOB Kingdom

2. Mission
1. Investigate the activity within the Mosque located in “Al Baiueia” – Objective Mosquito
2. Neutralize the IED factory by destroying the Supply Cache and storage facility located below ground in “Abu Dija” – Objective Skykigh.
3. Execution
The CO may proceed as he sees fit. In which order he sees fit as well.
HQ has deemed at least 100m safe zone radius from point of detonation at objective Skykigh. Unfortunately, Collateral damage is unavoidable but civilian life needs to be spared at all cost if any
