A news flash for this Sunday’s mission

Nic asked me to share the following news flash pertaining to this Sunday’s Mission for which is responsible for:

‘More than a year ago the islands of Altis and Stratis were devastated by the outbreak of a bovian virus which killed most domesticated livestock. As a consequence and in fear of transmutation, residents were mass evacuated to the mainland except for small groups of resistant folk. The remaining islanders were ‘confined’ to the seaside resort of Agia Marina on Stratis and Kavala the capital of Altis.

The Ottomen, a little known Turkish militant faction, supported and supplied by the Russian mafia, ceased this opportunity to invade. In less than a month the Ottomen had landed in the north of Altis and rapidly laid siege to the rest of the island and subsequently also Stratis.

The Turkish government issued a media statement disassociating themselves from this faction, stating that the Ottomen are a ‘bunch of fanatics that are hell bent on revenging the defeat of the Turkish garrison on Altis by Rear Admiral Pavlos Kountouriotis on 8 October 1912’.

The airport on Altis is equipped with a military specification runway capable of accommodating Antonov freighters. If it remained in Ottomen hands, it could have resulted in an international incident and could potentially have reactivated global nuclear awareness.

The Greek government approached NATO for assistance.’
