1. SITUATION

Anizay province has been stable for the last couple of months with most of the Taliban eliminated or pushed back East. During the night a massive Taliban force pushed west and were able to take over Landay Airfield, a strategic point for US forces who relies on the airfield for supplies and reinforcements being flown in. Zulu-Alpha is situated closest to Landay Airfield and has been tasked to soften the enemy and attempt to retake the airfield.

A. Enemy Forces:

Drone footage obtained indicate a Taliban force comprising multiple armored vehicles and a large infantry force. armored vehicles identified in the quick recognizance drone flight showed T55’s, BMP1’s, BMP2-ZU-23’s, BTR-40’s and multiple Hilux’s including at least one PODNOS and one Metis.

B. Friendly Forces:

Zulu-Company, Alpha platoon is stationed at a FOB Nauzad

1) Equipment: Standard  equipment with resupply crates

2) Surveillance: 2 x AR-2 Darter

3) Ground Vehicles:  1 x medical Ambulance, Refuel, re-arm, and repair trucks, 2 x HMMWV_SOV_M2, 2 x HMMWV_TOW, 1 x M2A2_Bradley_IFV and 1 x M1126_ICV_MK19
