Operation Steel Rain

1. SITUATION

Situation Time: 07:50L 29 November 2024

Lighting: Day

Weather: Thick cloud cover, snow and 300m visibility.

It’s winter of 2024. After Russia launched a nuclear missile on Ukraine, all NATO countries got involved in the war. Russian civilians have abandoned their homes in fear that NATO will use the same tactics as Russia did in Ukraine by flattening towns and cities. The US has been active in Chernarus for weeks now and were able to land a Tank Brigade in the port of Berezino. They have been moving south along the coast liberating towns as they go. Their final destination is the port town of Chernogorsk. As they were starting their maneuvers early this morning at Three Valleys, they came under heavy steel rain from the northwest suppressing their movement and causing casualties. Due to the inclement weather, USS Freedom are unable launch any aircraft. Zulu-Alpha is the only platoon stationed in the north of Chernarus. We are tasked to find the Artillery battery and destroy it.

A. Enemy Forces:

A Russian artillery battery is stationed somewhere in the north of Charnarus with possible infantry and armored support. In general Russian forces are severely stretched thin except where they feel they still make an impact. Mines are not a threat. Small patrols and roadblocks can be found but are few and far between.

B. Friendly Forces:

Zulu-Alpha is stationed north of the Pobeda Dam
