    1. SITUATION

    Situation Time: 05:15L 15 August 2016, Day 4

    Lighting: First light. Sunrise 05:54

Weather: Clear skies. Current temp 25 deg C. Predicted multiple sandstorms at sunrise. Forces are advised to move carefully as visibility will be seriously impacted.

During night time operations on day 3, Zulu-Alpha cleared the towns of Walada and Gororop with Ghost Rider inserting Dragon’1 close to each town and providing Arial over watch and CAS. This effort effectively opened the corridor from Camp Tusk to Marwey Airfield. Unfortunately two civilians were killed during the raid on Walada and humanitarian rations were dispensed amongst the people of the town.

Military intelligence shows that the Taliban has completely abandoned the far eastern sectors of Kujari  north of Camp Tusk with only small groups inserting during the night to plant IED’s on roads leading between Camp Tusk and Marwey Airfield before falling back west again.

The Quarter Master at Marwey Airfield were informed about the issue on the M18 M203 with the launcher sight being blocked by the laser pointer. He has delivered LLM MKIII laser pointers to D1,D2,D3 and D4’s crates. These pointers mount on the right side of the weapon. The LLM pointers don’t have a CQB IR flashlight but they are working on it for the feature. He also fitted the M2 machine gun installations at Camp Tusk with powerful search lights.
